Welcome to the Simm

Ever wished your pen and paper role-playing game hadn't fallen apart?
Ever regretted leaving your LARP because of how it interfered with your too busy schedule?
Ever wished there was a game that could fit into your busy life?
Ever wondered what RPEM was?

The USS White Dove offers a collaborative storytelling environment where individuals write from the perspective of a single character (which they create in cooperation with the ship's captain) and contribute individually to the events that happen on the ship. Characters generally start at the beginning of their Star Fleet careers, having just graduated either from Star Fleet Academy (for officers) or basic training and technical school (for enlisted).

From that moment, you write about your character's life and explore the personal ramifications of the events that happen in his or her life. On the White Dove, you can go on missions, listen to (and even be a part of) the very active rumor and gossip mill on the ship, make friends, fight enemies, develop friendships ... even fall in love. Do good and you can receive shore leave, awards, and even, promotions. Do bad and you'll find yourself in front of the XO or Captain having to explain your actions.

Sound interesting?

It is. What you need to get started is an email account and internet access. Everything is done through the web site (with copies sent to your email account). For those without experience in role-playing, you can attend the Bravo Fleet Academy and learn the basics. When you first join the crew, you'll be assigned a mentor who will be there to answer questions and help you write your first posts. For those with experience, The USS White Dove offers an active and lively group of simmers.

So come and join us on the Dove -- All you have to do is take a look at our list of open positions, select one and fill out an application.
